In my blog reading, I noticed a whole rush of 2012 calendars a month or two ago. But I came across a few recently that I love, so I wanted to feature them too, even though 2012 has already started. There are lots I've found, so I'll do one post this week and one next week.
I really like this red, black, and white design I saw on Etsy (by
Edu). The bold, sans serif, all caps font is an eye-catcher, and the layout of the months and numbers is quite interesting.
There's also a
yellow version of the calendar which I love a lot, too.
This luggage tag themed calendar is really cool as well. I love the fun colors and the way it's packaged in the tin. So cute! Packaging is a big part of what makes design great (even if what's inside is what you're buying), so it's great to see such creative packaging here. The typography is great, too. I like that pixelated font that makes it look like a plane ticket.
While I love both of the calendars above, I think this next one might be my favorite. I found it through
Lovely Package, and it is just so cool. I would definitely hang this on a wall! It's called "blank" poster calendar...it looks like a blank piece of paper, but when you shade in the numbers with pencil, they appear. Isn't that amazing? I had some activity books like this as a kid with pictures of world landmarks, and they were always so much fun. I guess this is the "grown up" version.
One more before I go: a
free printable calendar! I saw this calendar, designed by Celia Sanchez,
through How About Orange. In one sense, I wouldn't expect much from a free calendar, but this one is really well done! I love the design of the title with the calligraphy font and the pretty swirls. The color scheme of gray and red-orange is fun, too. I've been liking that red-orange color lately so I like seeing it here.
Well, that's all for today - please let me know what you think of these calendars!
