Lovely Letterpress

I'm really loving letterpress items these days.  I know I've mentioned them before, but today I wanted to show you some pretty letterpress items and nice shops that sell letterpress items.

But first... what is letterpress?  Well, I'm not up on all the ins and outs of the process, but basically, a design or text is stamped into paper, and there is color inside those stamped areas.  It's a very elegant and trendy form of printing.

Luxe Paperie sells items from a lot of different letterpress companies (and other paper companies).  These red coasters from 12Fifteen are lovely!  I love the clean, simple, silhouette design.  I really admire illustration like this that looks professional and not like a doodle.

And I love the colors and pretty pattern on these notes from Deluce Design.  The colors are unique and fun, and the font is so wonderful!  I think it's American Typewriter - a wonderful, modern-looking typewriter font.

I really like a lot of the items from Peculiar Pear Press.  Here is one lovely notebook.  The Victorian-esque typography and all those lovely swirls are just great.

Sweet Harvey on Etsy is another nice letterpress shop.  I like these butterfly notecards.  Orange is a fun color, and the crisp silhouette is very pretty.

And these dandelion notecards are great, too.  I love the color (turquoise!) and the dandelion design is really nice. I like dandelions as a graphic design motif.

Ruby Press has some really nice things, too.  Here are some bright, fun coasters.  I love the clarity of the design and the general sunshiney-ness of the design.

These personalized notecards are very simple and classic, too.

The final letterpress shop I want to highlight is one I just found, Tokketok.  The designs are more modern and different than most letterpress items, but I really like the style of the items.

These confetti cards are really fun.  I like the color choice and the minimalist design.  There's an excellent use of white space in this design, but the card is still visually interesting.

These "hello" notes are very nice, as well.  They're not typical letterpress because there is no color in the embossing, but they still provide a very elegant, classy design.

And the starburst card is really fun.  I love the bright colors and the youthful, gleeful feeling of the design.  It's great!  The background the photo was taken on is great too - red polka dots are always a lot of fun!

I hope you've enjoyed this little peek at some letterpress items.  What do you think of them?  Do you have a favorite?
