Your Questions, My Answers

Thanks to all who asked me questions back at this post (and some other posts in the past too...I wanted to make sure to address those questions as well).  I really appreciate your feedback!

Let's get to the past questions first...

Rachael Boer asked: Do you have a suggestion for how to print [your red to-do lists] out? Is there a place online that will print them in "pad" form to put on your fridge or something?

My answer: I don't know of an online company that will print notepads.  I tried to search quickly for one, but all I found were business-oriented places that would only sell huge quantities.  I designed the lists so that you can print all three on an 8.5x11 piece of paper.  I guess what you could consider doing is printing several copies of them, and then stapling them together to make a homemade pad.  You could even put tape (masking, Scotch, fabric, Washi, etc.) over the staples.  I hope that helps a little bit!

EDIT: Another notepad making idea can be found here.

Sarah asked: What is the font you are using for all the colors at the beginning [of the Rainbow Week posts]?  The kind of cursive one...?

My answer: It's called Learning Curve Pro, and you can download it at Font Squirrel here.  I love that font, and I use it a whole lot!  It's also the one on my blog header.

Now for the ones asked at this post...

Sarah also asked: What is the farthest place you have traveled to?

My answer: Yay, a just for fun question!  I'm not sure of the exact mileage of either place, but I think the three farthest places I've been to are Tijuana, Mexico; Sacramento, California; and Spokane, Washington.

Aimee asked: How do you find all of your Friday Finds?

My answer: Great question!  The short answer is that I find them as I'm browsing online.  That can take different forms, like shopping online (sometimes I'll post a cool item I find that can be purchased somewhere on the web), or looking at blog posts.  Sometimes I link to the exact blog post I read, but other times, I find the "find" from clicking a link from a blog I read to another site or article somewhere.  Whenever you see the letters "HT" at the bottom of a Friday Finds post, it means that I found the item through whatever blog follows the "HT."

Ellie asked: What is your favorite design/photography/blogging tutorial/information website?

My answer: Hmm...I'd say that my favorite design websites are probably Pugly Pixel for fun kind of stuff, and Brand New for logo critiques.  As for photography, I'd say my favorite photographer's blogs are Rachael Boer Photography and yours.  I also like Peter Bang's work a lot, and Megan Russell's.  But for instructional photography, The Pioneer Woman, for sure.  Blogging tutorials... CoffeeShop, definitely.  As for information...that's a broad category, so I'll say.... Justin Taylor's blog

Katie asked: Where in the house do you do all of your scrapbooking/designing? Like, do you have a special place dedicated to it?

My answer: Well, I do my design work on a laptop, so it's portable.  I have a desk in my bedroom where the laptop "lives," so I do some of my design work there, but I also frequently bring the laptop to various places in my house, mostly the basement, so that I can be working on computer things while my family is watching a movie, etc.  As for scrapbooking, I have all my stuff in my bedroom, so I mostly scrapbook on my bed.  I sometimes bring stuff downstairs to work on specific projects, though.  So I guess the answer to your question about having a special place for these things would be both yes and no!  I don't have a special office or anything, but I have noticed that my hobbies tend to encroach upon my bedroom space.

Sarah Elaine asked: This is a super silly question, but where did you get the dress you're wearing in your blog banner?

My answer: Haha, this one made me smile!  I actually found it at a thrift store, but it's Converse brand, so my guess is that it originally came from Target.  They sell Converse clothes, I'm pretty sure.

Thanks for your questions, everybody!  This was fun!
