2 Timothy 1:6-12

Such an encouraging passage...here is part of it.

I love how this passage draws conclusions from what we know to be true. Because we have a Spirit [the Holy Spirit] of power and love and self-control, we can be bold and unashamed in sharing the gospel and even in suffering. Because we know who we have believed and we know God is powerful and able to guard the message of the gospel until the final day, we can be unashamed. How kind of God to give us ample reason to be unashamed and bold, and ample reason to lean on Him and His power. He doesn't just say "go out there without shame." He says "be unashamed because I am great and I will give you power." We are weak and insignificant and inadequate. But He is the almighty, powerful, faithful God and we can rely on Him. Isn't that wonderful?
