Make & Matter

I came across Make & Matter through Design Work Life when they featured a Make & Matter project. I like their philosophy and purpose for their design work. This is a statement from their about page:
Make & Matter was founded on a simple philosophy - to make (aka ‘design’) and to matter (to our clients and their success).
And they do some great work as well, so I thought I'd share a few of my favorite projects today. The first one is a 40th birthday party invitation. I love the colors and the combination of a bold sans serif font with the fancy cursive one.

The striped pattern is really neat as well. I like the orange and kraft paper combination mixed with the stripes.

I also like Make & Matter's branding for Apron Allure, a line of vintage aprons. The style of the branding is so perfect for vintage products. From the scalloped edge to the cursive font to the postmark, it all works great.

The metal-rimmed tag is fun, too, and I love the patterns of the aprons, and the price tags and the labels with vintages images are neat as well.

I also really like the graphics they did for the Austin Film Festival. Again, it has a real vintage look, and I love the typewriter motif. So cool!

The black and white color scheme is simple but it looks realistically vintage. I love the aged paper look on the second item.

I hope you like Make & Matter's work too! Do you have a favorite piece that I featured?
