Recently I saw some neat fashion storyboard type posts from Megan Russell and Ellie Snow of Mint Design. I liked this idea, and I like "window shopping" online for clothes, especially at ModCloth. So I thought that I'd feature a few make-believe outfits I put together from items I like on ModCloth, along with color combinations taken from each outfit. I like color combinations and they're great because they can apply to pretty much anything - interior design, graphic design, photography...even clothing. I hope you enjoy these fashion storyboards. I'll put links to the items on ModCloth underneath each image.
This outfit is cute and a little dressy. It's mostly neutral, but with a pop of red in the shoes! I love the ankle strap shoes - I had some white ones similar to them when I was little and they were some of my favorite shoes ever.
Dress | Lace vest | Bracelet | Shoes |
This combination is a little more funky. I especially like the shoes and the vintage looking leather bag. All the colors are neutral, but the pattern on the skirt and the accessories keep it from being too boring, I think.
Shirt | Skirt | Shoes | Necklace | Bag |
One more outfit, a more casual one, before I go. I had to throw those boots in there (I'm really into work boots right now). But probably a more mild-mannered shoe would go better with the outfit. :)
Shirt | Skirt | Necklace | Sweater | Shoes |
What do you all think of my outfits, and the color combinations that go with them? I'd love to know if you have a favorite piece or outfit.
