Thanks for your input last week about the Weekend Links format! I may not do the same thing every week, but I've decided to keep more towards the new format. I also designed a new header that goes a bit better color-wise with my new blog design! Today I have a little roundup of treasures for you all, some with pictures and some without.
This is too funny! When you need filler text in graphic design, you usually use "lorem ipsum," a series of nonsensical, random Latin words. But this site provides random text all having to do with cupcakes and other sweets!
Via Present&Correct.
Amusing little collection of photos describing what happens when you microwave different objects. This gummy bear example turned out pretty artistic!
From Shed Letterpress, via Oh So Beautiful Paper.
I love the combination of Helvetica, and CMYK, the color space that is often used in printing. Definitely an appropriate greeting for a type nerd.
Via Design*Sponge.
This bag is so fun. I love the plaid pattern - it reminds me of a lumberjack and I think it would go great work work boots.
Peter Lewis compiled some quotes about writing well that I found helpful. This one from C.S. Lewis is a favorite: “Don’t use words too big for the subject. Don’t say “infinitely” when you
mean “very”; otherwise you’ll have no word left when you want to talk
about something really infinite.”
A project by the folks at Present&Correct - what a simple and cute idea. I love the way the Scrabble letter racks look as picture ledge shelves.
I hope you have a lovely weekend! Feel free to share what you think of this random collection of links.

Hey ya Carrie, To design my I downloaded this software: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/free-software-downloads/convert-handwriting-to-font/
It lets you write out your letters and then it will turn them into a true type file. :)
