A Blog That May Be Brand New to You

Brand new = fresh and previously unknown.  Brand New = graphic design blog.

One of my favorite graphic design blogs is called Brand New.  Do you know about it?  Or is it brand new to you?  Either way, I thought it'd be fun to tell you about it. 

First of all, Brand New is very well designed, which is always an essential quality in a website - and even more essential for graphic design websites.  Look for yourself.

Don't you agree?  It looks so nice and simple.  The design is great, but it also makes the site easy to use, and usefulness is a key to good design.

But on to the real point.  What is Brand New all about?  It's a blog that focuses on logos ("brand identities") for companies, particularly [brand] new brand identities.  Most of the posts have to do with a logo re-design.  The blog author will discuss the logo and provide his opinions on the logo.  There are some great insights on what works and doesn't work about various logos, and it's very interesting to learn what makes a good logo by studying actual examples.  I think the best part is voting on the execution of the logo at the end of each post.

If you're interested in graphic design or another artistic field - or just enjoy looking at some nice logos and reading interesting writing - I'd recommend checking this blog out.  Of course, I can't vouch for everything on the site, and you'll have to read with discretion.  But I think you'll come across some interesting information.
